O‘ Calm down…my rattling nerves!
Oh heart when will you start beating again?
Tears you have shed galore, the eyes stoned now howl rest!
The trembling fingers look for comfort
Of the missing fingers it were once intertwined in
The soul now pleads solace
When I knew the end was certain
Why did I still walk the path and lived this pain?

in the end you did gain
for a path walked on, is never in vain
lessons learnt to live today
scour for solace in brighter rays
the unsettled rattling nerves reverberate
calling out may be to a stranger far away
listen, the heart beats, though fainter, are still there
it ain’t the end for they can’t just yet fail 🙂
This one speaks volumes Ananya and reaches out to hearts to stay. Pardom me for using the word beautiful even for ruthless slay but the lines are “beautiful”. (yay! My first add on, the first whispering flowing in the lovely zephyr here 🙂 )
You brought in hope Shashank, a perfect answer to her cry and pain a gift of happiness never seen. The addition is so beautiful J, esplly for a path walked on, is never in vain and the unsettled rattling nerves reverberatecalling out may be to a stranger far away
you made my day would be too small to say 🙂
P.S. is that the longest poem you’ve written so far?
this touches the chords of many and many genres… quite profound and poignant…
“Of the missing fingers it were once intertwined in..” Its very sad … gloomy like an endless pit …
BUT
and I loved this guy’s optimistic answer to it ..:)Well done – both of you 🙂
