Hello beautiful people and awesome writers, they say we write to inspire others and for sure you have inspired and motivated me to write some more. Hence, I nominate you for “Very Inspiring Blogger Award” and for more details check this link http://myviewsinmywords.blogspot.com/2015/01/very-inspiring-blogger-award.html.
Well, the 2nd line reminds me of the famous Hindi song, “Mera Kuchh saman tumhare pass pada hai….” I could feel your words full of beautiful emotions. Very vivid description of sweet moments.
A little thing is bothering me: Was her lover a army man who sacrificed his life in protecting country so that his things were returned along with his last letter? Or Was it a break up with return of things?
One more thing, from where do you get these backgrounds: spread ink droplets, crushed bed sheets & others to beautifully support your words which help readers in visualization! 🙂
Thank you Ravish, glad you liked it and could visualize it 🙂
Well the interpretation of whether it is for an army man or a breakup letter depends how you want to perceive it, I would want to keep it free to the readers imagination.
Do let me know if you did like to have any such backgrounds, would love to share one with you 🙂
Well, dear, the smearing of letter made an impression of tear droplets. It wasn’t fresh one but dried. The personal letter might have been written on battle ground and was delivered with sad news of his demise. And she was also shedding tears while reading it and remembering past memories. This may be interpreted that he was dead. May be she was telling in last line that whenever she’d get emotional & remember him, he’d feel it in heaven. Sorry, buddy, still things aren’t clear for me. 😛
yo true..Of course, one way of perception.. 🙂 Distance can here mean very well even life she has and his death.. true! That’s why it is adhoore words title.. but I want this guy to be alive u c 😉 so that he gets the letter when she has to send and the bird doesn’t really have to fly to heaven to deliver it 😉
Also, your thoughts adds up the love of army, nation and her acceptance of the fate..beautiful… y r u confused 😛 U got the core love, the gist of poem.. other things we can keep conjuring up 😉 (that said, I want them to b together.. to b alive 😛 )
Hehe…. I could understand you don’t like soldier’s death on battle field. 🙂

If the point is destiny (a soldier’s death) and choice (a mutual decision of being in love but physically away)….I did choose the latter as the background to the letter as Ananya writes…paas rehna bada nahi saath rehna khaas hai 🙂 a personal choice!

Ravish Mani
I was getting the same message from this line & line no.3
Reminds me of the song “Dil mera tod diya usne bura kyun manu…..”
Liked your choice, the decision of Radka & Krisha – separate but together – love beyond physical plane. 🙂

Ravish you are spot on!!! I felt the same instantly 🙂 When I started reading 2nd line, it was like same song flashed in my mind. 🙂
Beautiful 🙂 The vivid emotions, the sheer love b/w em.. “It isn’t over until it is over”. Words are the most powerful yet it’s surprising how you don’t really need to use ’em to convey to one you love 🙂
Beautifully written. What I really like is the mention of little but common moments like touching of ornaments, half knitted sweater, knitting of ‘A’ letter on handkerchief.. makes it connected to the readers. Very nicely written Shweta as usual. 🙂
Reminds me of those meaningful movies of 80s. This is simply beautiful and words carry soul, they are not empty. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
aahhh, I should have made a quick English version, but babe the feeling is super in Hindi atleast for this one….I got you strained 🙁 But glad you liked it 🙂

I’d love to hear 🙂
to hear…as in?
“would love to SHARE one with you” 🙂
I meant the backdrop….as in the ink stained paper or the satin sheet 🙂
Hehe… I thought the background of the letter from army man point of view. I thought you knew such story 🙂
Well, I’ll ask when in need 🙂
Ravish, our guy is alive. The tear drops and the personal letter says so.. ain’t me 😉

Good one Shweta.. I agree with Ravish this poem reminds me the song “Mera kuch saaman”
If it reminded you of such great work of Gulzar sahab, then I take it as a huge huge compliment. 🙂
