शृंगार (Beauty)

Ha ha, lovely 🙂 Though did not get the chance to hear the audio file, but will definitely hear it later tonight…
Thank you Alok for dropping by.
I am rendered speechless….The only reason I do not apply makeup is akin to this but that is a different story. beautifully and soulfully penned
Thanks Datta…am delighted that you found relevance and meaning to the poem to well 🙂
Shringar ras plays a very important part in love. When I started reading it I was imagining about Radha doing shringar for Krishna but……
Shweta, why always sad end? 🙂
Am so happy you could relate it to Shri Krishna and Radhaji. When Shringar is done for Krishna and HE vanishes…what would be the purpose of doing it then. Wouldn’t that be sad Ravish? 🙂
Well it’s good discussion topic for me 😉
It surely is 🙂
Beautiful voice dear! The way you said “kahan use dhundhti…… adhuri muskaan…” was fabulous. I’d like to hear you more. All the best! 🙂
Well, this is my first recording of my poem on this post…am happy you liked it. Motivates me to record more!
I took time to understand this Shweta, why would anyone be so cruel?
Who is cruel Indu? Welcome to my blog 🙂
The lover who instills hope in her heart and then vanishes.
Doesn’t it happen in real my friend.
Wow. This is great. Nice words and great thoughts…..
How do you get such thoughts. I am sure you must be thinking in a quiet place in your house. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks Abhijit, isn’t writing more experience based apart from fiction stories, well even fiction is somewhat based on what a person perceives. And Swiss, unfortunately you never get a noisy corner…its always so quiet 🙂 Welcome to my blog and thank you for your kind words.
acha hai sabne acha kaha hai ,,parantu ek sarita ka tehraw hota hai aur ek bahaw ,,,dono hi ka anand adbhut hota hai ,,kavita mein hai bus kahin kami jaise “zindagi ki garima ya zindagi aur garima..”and “”–aab kahan usse dhunti “”naina rahi use dhunti ,ankhe rahi use dhundti ya sadhardyta ankhe mundne ke baad agar ankhon se use dhundti to …….ya isse bhi acha apni hi line mein “”ab kahan use naina dhundti””……sab kuch acha hai main koi kavi ya lekha to yun nahi jo samjha mein aya wo keh raha hun ho sakta hai main galat bhi hun …par acha likhti hai aap…!!
Thank you Praveen Rakesh.
Jab tak na pade aashiq ki nazar……… Shringar adhoora rehta hai!!!

Your voice! I am transported to 80s. Beautiful!
Thank you Saru, coming from a poetess like you is a big compliment.
Though my Hindi is not that good I was able to see the beauty of this poem.. And the recording helped too.. you have done it very well Shweta.. 🙂
Thank you Vinitha 🙂
Beautiful poem Shweta 🙂 May I ask you what is the meaning of मुँदनेका?
Thank you Sindhu, आँखें मूंदना means to close the eyes. I will surely add an English translation next time I post a poem 🙂
Thank you dear 🙂 It would be a great help for me to learn Hindi words better 🙂
I think I have read this poem before too? Am I correct?
But the audio did put in new life to it, you have a very good voice for poetry. Keep going 🙂
Cheers,
Blasphemous Aesthete
Thats correct Anshul, I added the recording now.
Hey Bhagwan .. I am the only one who missed this gem Shweta ..
yes Ravish is right..I too loved the way you said “kahan use dhoondhti … and adhoori muskan se” you have added a touch of seemingly blithe laugh to the adhoori muskan se kehti …
beautiful 🙂
